    world cup memorabilia

I have been busy making picture frames for world cup memorabilia.

The frame can also be used for other items like, babies first clothes, rugby jerseys etc.

The frame in the attached picture is lined with black felt, but different colours can be used and different fabrics.

I can supply the items mounted or just the frame.

If anyone is interested please send me a pm.

I havent decided on prices yet. I would estimate they will sell for about R2000.00frames only. The price will also be determeined by the type of wood used.

The one below is SA pine and will sell for R1500.00 as is complete, because it has faults, the router slipped

I have been busy making stuff with the scraps of wood i find on my daily travels.

Here is a butcher block i have just finished for my wife, built it using pallet wood and off cuts of better quality wood for the top.

There is a lot of history that lead up to building this butcher block.

I won a fishing comp. many years ago and one of the prizes was a butcher block. I decided to to take the light fitting instead.

The top is also make up of scraps.

Serious? I dont know, you tell me. I dont have a clue what to charge.

What i am trying to figue out, is what would you be prepared to pay for a frame for your world cup soccer, rugby, cricket or babies etc memorabilia. I can build the frame to any size, even for the big rugby fellas shirts. I would have to use thinner wood because of the weight .

Would you want just the frame so you can fit your own items, or would you want a complete frame with items supplied.

I was thinking of gettting team member shirts signed by the player, what do you think?

I am suprised how the world cup excitement has just disappeared, like it never happened.

I enjoy making stuff out of wood. The problem is good quality wood working equipment isnt cheap. I have to find a way to pay for the equipment. I collect scrap wood, see a vision in my head of what to do with it, make a sketch then assemble it. Unfortunately i dont draw the object to scale so sometimes it becomes a challenge. Pretty much like building stuff with lego blocks.

The last project i did was a pub. I built it from the ground up then i moved. Yip i couldnt get it out the house and it didnt fit in the new house. It kept me out of trouble for a while
