I did suggest that I take the one that is available to me and then a swap can be arranged. The crude answer I got was “Their products are inferior” and that they WILL NOT do a swap...

Now there's a good way to dig a hole for yourself.

Now they insist on me taking the inferior product and something else to make up for the money I paid.

So now I'm dying to know what happened today. Did you get your refund ?

I did go to get my money back today but apparently the owner was already at the bank at 10am and they did not have enough money to refund me. Then I was also told that I did not phone them.

Fact is: according to my phone bill I did phone them! According to the conversation everything would have been ready for today! Nothing just a very bad attitude! So I just told the owner if my money is not there by tomorrow morning that I will take action.

I already have all my ducks in a row and my “rent a lawyer” is waiting of my call. I just hope that I get my money back by tomorrow because I am done playing games as of now....

daveA has a lot more experience when it comes to writing posts as you will notice by his thousands of posts...it takes practise and time...one day when we grow up we will all submit posts like dave A

maybe he is a women in a mans body and can multi task...work and play and write posts just kidding

moral of the story dont pay out money before you see the product...easier said than done in a time of crisis.


i had the same problem a gheko climbed into my ups and jammed the fan which then overheated the power supply and poooof up in smoke...i didnt replace it then poooof the power supply in my pc went replaced that but not the ups and pooof the hardrive went...and so the computer ended up in the dustbin...so lesson to be learnt dont use a pc without a ups.

Agreed, my mistake was to pay in the full amount. When I finally got my money today, the owner tried to make me feel like sh!t, will it didn’t work because they twisted my words and pretended that I was at fault for wanting my money back and not accepting an overpriced inferior quality product.

At another computer store my UPS was waiting and was cheaper than the one that I have ordered. Not only that, the Guarantee Warrantee is also much better!

My lesion out of all this is, record ALL your phone calls even on your home private line. Always demand promises in writing. Never renegotiate if your order is incorrect or neglected by the goods/ service provider.

I just hope I never ever have to deal with them again...

Well as a last bit of feedback, The UPS I got was almost perfect, on the box it stated that it had USB compatiblity but sadly when I opened the box it only had a serial connection

The truth is however I didn’t pay an arm and a leg for it so I cannot complain. Also the Vista and Win7 software works well.

Still I just thought to mention one more thing, and this is the most basic practise and if I wasn’t in such a hurry, I would have inspected the goods at the shop. Still as a final piece of advice: Always inspect your ordered goods.
