Now let's just hope TFSA qualifies as a blog, although the rules say
A "blog" is defined as a webpage with dated entries.
so maybe we'll be
I'm going to put a bit of thought into some nominations myself, I think. Duncan's blog for Science and Technology is a must, and maybe for a green blog nomination. Ian's printing blog is awesome, need to find a spot for that too - maybe business? Dunno.
Peas does an awesome personal blog - I reckon that'll get my nod there.
Going to have to think about nominations for the other categories. What other South African blogs are really good out there?
The deadline for nominations is 14th March, so time is ticking.
I was actually surprised by the fairly loose definition, but that does mean we qualify! I'm guessing the business blog category would be the way to go...
http://toomuchcoffee.co.za/ is a customer who did well last year in the awards.
This is the type of blog that should be highlighted and is always a good read.
My blog is strictly self promotion so probably wouldn't interest them.
My only consolation is that I did not really promote my blog for nomination other than putting up the banner. Oh well, just got to keep doing things that make a difference.
Do you really blog that much? I also have a blog, http://blog.softdux.com but just don't get around to blogging that often that it's even worth voting for.
It depends on what you consider as important. I aim to post about 3-4 times a month (I see this as an unspoken agreement with my readers). That is the routine that I have gotten in to which works for me. If someone can post a quality blog post everyday then that is great (in the long run I would like to increase my number of posts), but I prefer to read (and hopefully write) fewer well written and well thought out posts.
I've been blogging for about two and a half years now, and in that time I have built a "long tail" of posts. As I add to that my readership and traffic grow. It has been slow, but I never expected (or aimed for) dramatic and quick growth. Different strategies work for different people (and goals).
points well taken. I also try and blog 2 or 3 times a month, but don't know if it's really enough, yet I don't always have time todo a decent blog post.
