Feel good for free! The Power of Praise!

While sending Emails to business owners, I wanted to add something to give praise and appreciation to people who never hear this from their bosses (themselves). I soon started adding the following to my mails:

"Things business owners never hear from their bosses:
    Well Done!!
    Good Job!!"

Check This reply from Seth Godin when I sent him a short message. Even the most awesome professionals don't always receive the praise they deserve. So Let's start a precedent and tell all those people we admire how much we appreciate what they do. And feel great in the process.

Why not start by praising the guys who make this forum possible?
*filtering my shameless attempt at sucking up*

    thanks Clem

    you made my day

Well, if a business owner's boss is the client...

Getting a "well done" from the boss client
Having clients come back for more
    Having clients refer their friends

I wouldn't sweat it. I suspect we have something of a silent appreciation cult thing going here. No idea how to change that, but lots of people keep coming back so we must be doing something right

Very well put Dave, you definitely have what it takes to mentor this forum!

I think you have similar attributes to Seth Godwin, you drill down to what matters!

I think you are doing a fantastic job here, Dave.

Well done to keeping this forum alive and posting relevant stuff and comments. I know its not easy doing this on a continual basis. I have been off the forums for a week or two and it seems like ages as life carries on.

Also to the rest of the regular gang who post here and keep it going. Great stuff.

            Well Done!!!
            Good Job!!!
Have a great summer holiday season.

              Yep, It feels good:

Ag shame those guys at Mail and Guardian delve into negative topics daily on our behalf. I thought I would send them a quick uplifting note that doesn't involve my own personal issues.

              Dear Mr Robertson.
Thanks so much! Please spread the message.
              Regards,

And there is no doubt - M&G are doing a sterling job. I feel they have really embraced the reality of the online news business very well.
