I thought it might be an idea to start a thread on news you don't hear every day.

How about this one to kick things off:

North West police were searching on Wednesday for four women in Rustensburg said to be targeting male hitch-hikers and raping them.

Constable Botshelo Mothutsane said the women reportedly offer lifts to male hitch-hikers, force them to drink some sort of spiked juice at gunpoint and then rape them.

"They then rob the men of their belongings and leave them in isolated areas," said Mothutsane.

On Monday, another man woke up to find himself stranded and naked in Phokeng after he was given a lift. He was allegedly raped and robbed of R3 700.

OK - How about this for a report.....

Black hurricanes....

Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman, from Florida , has complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names.

She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaqueal, and Jamal.

She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in Language that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was, that black people couldn't understand the seriousness of the situation, due to the racially biased language of the weather report.

I can hear it now: A weatherman in Miami and Tampa says...
