When there's a dog that barks continuously and seemingly for no reason and everyone in the immediate vicinity is pissed off, there's always, without fail, one person who cannot hear it and that's the dog's owner.
Then the real noisy bark, that starts 5 km away, a dog is out and running on the road.
Twice I have got up thinking there is a problem, could it be, stealing gate batteries, fence hoping for random items, or maybe overhead cable theft (we still have bare copper overhead lines in some places). It was just a dog running along the road.
It is best to just sit still and wait for another, 20-30 min, it seems these people have got smart and use the dogs to go ahead, when you think its just the dogs and go back inside, that is when they cut the lines. You have to sit quietly and listen, you hear where they are coming from by the barking which is a lot less intense than when the dog is running on the road.
I see people rushing around in vehicles trying to catch these criminals, without much luck. if they take the time to find a dark spot and just sit and listen, eventually they pop up, you can hear exactly where the dogs are and where the criminals are heading.
