    The petrol price scam

The basic fuel price is R9.30 ... anyone need vaseline

R1600 to fill my vehicle ... the lady who works for me uses more than 20 % of her salary to get to and from work everyday.

The assistant uses more than 35 % of his salary to get to and from work every day ... yes 35 % of his salary and the government say its to benefit who ?

When will electric vehicles become a reality in SA ...or are they waiting for a way to tax and levy electricity ? At the rate the electricity price is increasing who can afford an electric vehicle ... only the smart and rich will benefit.

If you really want to get upset, have a look at the petrol prices at Botswana.

        11 Botswanian Pula per liter...

        Now 1.00 BWP = 1.36 ZAR

        that is R14,96 per liter...

Scary part is they buy their petrol from us as it is refined at SASOL...

How is that blood-pressure doing ?

You need to understand how the fuel prices are calculated, and how the slate works.

They made a 6c error this month, but since the 80's, this is how it has been done.

Electric cars will never become a reality in South Africa while Escam is still around scamming us on price and delivery.

Whilst I am all for another form of energy to travel in, and electricity is in my portfolio, Electric cars are severely limited by several drawbacks, including:

              A shortage of charging stations.
              High electricity costs.
Insufficient electricity capacity to meet the demand of battery charging
Disappointing battery capacity that limits the distance the cars can be driven between charges.
              Painfully long charging times.

Electric cars are a joke and a waste of energy - pardon the pun.

It is simply senseless to use a 1 ton car to move a 100kg human. Proper public transport has 100000x the benefit.

I was speaking to friends yesterday - They have properties in Portugal, The Netherlands and South Africa. All three countries have their own energy issues. The Netherlands are totally dependent on natural gas for heating and they complained no end about the continuing increase in the price of gas. The Netherlands has loads of wind turbines yet they still need loads of natural gas. Of course the whole issue with Americanistan trying to block the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline doesn't help the situation.

Another interesting thing is that they say that the Portuguese people in Portugal dislike the English immensely. (It might be because many people gain Portuguese citizenship purely as a means to eventually enter the UK) They found that when the speak English in Portugal people don't help them (Not even doctors) - so they learned that when they are looking for service they then speak Afrikaans to the service people. The service people then switch to English (which then happens to be the common language) - Strange world we live in.... Out friends find it very difficult to learn Portuguese - I see the Portuguese nationals point - You wanna become citizens in our country then you should have the decency to learn the language....
