South Africa's COVID-19 digital vaccine certificate went live without any announcement. This follows President Cyril Ramaphosa saying the country would soon have standardised proof of vaccination to facilitate travel, access to establishments and other activities. eNCA' s Heidi Giokos has the latest.

But I have to ask, what is your response going to be when you are denied entry to an event, shop, or country because you don't have your "dompas"?

Watching how the home affairs entrance is controlled by a small team of get rich quick mafia (at R600 a pop to jump the que) ... the que doesnt move until after 10 am ...even if you are the first person at the building but didnt pay the mafia.

We estimated 30 people jumped the que ... thats R18000 per day before tea ... thats R90 000 per week and over R389700.00 per months ... thats some good business ... I wonder if they pay tax ?

By the looks of it we are linking into an established international vaccine certificate system. I think that it is highly unlikely that one will be able to "buy" the certificate. It is the exact same certificate that was issued to my friend in the Netherlands when she flew to South Africa last month. (Anti-vaxxers don't get to fly internationally without the certificate)

...anyway... so anti-vaxxers are now starting to pay the price for being obtuse - They have a choice - Comply or lose your job. Seems many companies in the US are totally fed up with their nonsense and no longer stand for it.

So it seems that up to 2% of the current American workforce (the obtuse ones) are going to end up being jobless wallowing in their "rights" at home.

Just beware that the site is only going live 10/10/2021. I tried to use it but the data hasn't been loaded yet.

I found that the site only works via my phone - It doesn't seem to work via other networks. The reason might be because the Certificate is expected to be installed on the phone.
(Could also be that the site doesn't like my fixed line firewall - dunno)

So I would say the best is to try it after the 10th using your phone.
