Interesting way to market your own forum on a competing forum.....

I'll give it a miss on principle.

The best black Friday deal is to stay at home and keep your wallet in your pocket.
Excellence is not a skill; its an attitude...

That's true, but... What if you were planning to buy something anyway, then in my opinion I think it's worth seeing if it is on special.

Also none perishable items I bought toilet paper R35 for 18 rolls 2 ply. That's a good deal which saves me money on the the year (I bough enough to last me 18 months.)

Fair enough - I will take a look at the forum.

With regards to Black Friday - Although the idea of saving money is appealing I can't lower myself to standing in queues and having fist fights over it. I will really rather do without than stand in a queue. (My nerves fray very quickly when there are a lot of people and a lot of noise) I suppose that I am hyper sensitive to noise so I've walked out of many shops and shopping centers when it got too much. There is nothing worse that an "in-season" holiday. I will rather go on holiday to solitary confinement :-)

You and I are on the same page as far as noise is concerned.

I have a hearing impediment and unfortunately most people think that louder is better. Nope. It's the opposite.
I do not go to malls. Period. I sit in the car while her royal highness does what they do best.

I took the day off on Friday so that my staff could go and waste their money on all the unnecessary bargains.

The thing I hate most of all is music in the shops. I get that they want the shop to sound like a carnival but it really grates my nerves being forced to listen to blaring crap music with announcements over the top of it. If I wanted to buy my hardware in a disco I would go to Grand West.

I only bought what I wanted anyway. And bought online, so no mall madness for me
