Hi, I have the subject phone with Vodacom prepaid. I'm very happy with it, however, I've encountered a problem when trying to input my number to my iTunes account and press confirm. It returns that it's not a Vodacom number. I've tried doing a manual selection of networks ( Vodacom advice) but I'm unable to get any options. Anyone experienced similar problems. My wife's Samsung had no such problems.

I'm afraid I can't help you with the itunes problem but I just got wifey the Xiaomi Redmi 4x and was very impressed with it. It's an unbelievably capable phone for the price and excellent build quality._______________________________________________

Yes, all of the Xiaomi phones work as a WiFi hotspot and most come with either full dual sim or a sim plus a hybrid slot that takes either a micro SD or second SIM which means you can use one sim to provide WiFi hotspot and the other for phone. That way you can use one provider for the cheapest data and another provider for the cheapest calls.
This thread's a bit out of date now, the Xiaomi Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A are both available on Takealot for R1699.00 as we speak. They're both a bit lightweight with 16Gig storage and only 2Gigs RAM but for a normal use phone that isn't going to be used for games they're both very adequate and great value for money. They definately both work as a WiFi hotspot and far as I know both have dual sim capabilities but just double check the specs to make sure._______________________________________________
