Hi, I recently fitted a battery operated wireless bell in our cottage. I's exposed to the elements and past experience tells me that water ingress 9if we ever get rain) will stuuf it up big time.
Has anyone out there fond a solution? I Googled it but cant find anything locally. Any help will be much appreciated.
Surely if it's a doorbell then the button that came with it would be weatherproof?
The rain shields work okay for intercoms but maybe not idea if it's just a button for a bell. Any electrical wholesaler should stock an IP55 bell press button assenbly that will be weatherproof.
I've found an acceptable solution, not the most elegant but does what I want. Bought a R10 soap container with hinged lid from Pep Stores, screwed to courtyard door and taped the push inside. A friend made me a Dymo type label asking callers to close lid after use.

Update, soap dish hinge didn't last si I bought and installed bell push in external weatherproof electrical enclosure. Bit bulky but does what I wante.
