    Need Afrikaans assistance

    Hi there all.

I am getting married in June and my fiance and I have decided to do half English and half Afrikaans vows, as he is Afrikaans.

Vows are tricky, and we are sort of stuck on a particular sentence. We have looked up the actual translation from English to Afrikaans and it just sounds too 'rigid and formal' but then again, we do not want it to sound too 'laid back'
It does not have to be perfectly word for word, a word can be changed here or there.
Is there anyone who can assist with the translation of the following:

"(Persons name), I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As I place this ring on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you."

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
