I watched the movie Memphis Belle again the other night. In the movie they fly into Germany to do a bombing run but they find that the target is obscured by clouds. The pilot then makes a big deal about not killing civilians so they go around and do the run over again to be sure that they only hit the target and no civilians. Of course they are very proud of themselves to have risked life and limb to repeat the run to save the civilians.

Of course as we all know they simply dumped Napalm indiscriminately all over Vietnam and dropped two nuclear bombs on Japan. I can just imagine one pilot asking the other "Hey Jim, where shall we drop the bomb?" and the other pilot responding "Just as long as it doesn't fall directly on a woman or child my conscience is clear...the collateral damage is not my problem"

A conscious decision was made by Britton and the US to purposefully bomb civilians as part of total war in Germany, with the purpose to destroy German morale. Dresden being a prime example where 25000 people died. As you know Memphis Belle is pure propaganda to try and save face, so are many other American war movies.

It pisses me off when my wife snoops around on my phone and finds watsap messages from my girlfriends. I have managed to stop this now by blocking them so they cant send messages, but now they call or sms and the wife jumps on every beep my phone makes. What's the world coming to when an honest man cant even have girlfriends on the side without the wife knowing

It cannot be honest if you have to hide it, can it?

I only cheat on my wife in the odd weird dream. I once dreamt that she cheated on me and I was rather angry with her when I woke up...she denied everything of course
