Maybe that came out harsher than intended

Or perhaps I should have quoted this post:

Right now it looks like any of the last four teams could win it (See, I'm learning )

        Talk about sitting on fences...

I think Dave got hold of the quad sided corner post.

Be carefull Dave, the wrong angle could be hazardous... if leaning the wrong way

My guess from the beginning was Germany and I'll take my chances.

Chris, does all this mean we can put you down for France?

Italy seems well covered - Portugal anyone?

So our final is Italy vs France. I think that gives us Marq and Candy ganging up against Chris.

Admin I know you nominated france to Chris but he still has not committed himself...mind you I am very supprised at the final to. All I had in mind was that Italy looks like a boot on the map and it popped into my head they could probably kick their way through. Being blond pays off sometimes.

I've never drunk so many Peroni's in my life to ensure this happens.

Final at Spiga DaOra in Florida Rd Morningside. I also have never seen so many Italians packed together in one small restaurant. The noise they make is about the same that I've allways known them to make though.

From what I can gather on the Zidane incident, I've got a lot of sympathy for the guy. At the very least the Italian player deserves some sort of censure.

On a lighter note - I really liked one suggested reason the morning after the incident: Zidane's explanation "Chuck Norris told me to do it".

Given it was such a fearsome blow, I'm not surprised Chuck Norris has been keeping a low profile of late.

Yeah i'm no soccer fan either but i must admit it was a little disappointing since as Bafana actually played fairly well last night as well and the penalty was a luck.

From what i understand now, quite difficult to go through to next round, they have to win 2 - 0.

                              Quite sad
