Dave, I am 29 right now...pushing and unearthing every rock under this beautiful earth from home-office, BUT I will have a full scale running shop in the next 2-5+- years, if God allows. It is an obvious and natural next move. Working from home is but a step. I have a stupid saying that I will rather be rich one day than look rich today.

Working from home advice – well I just finished my last machine which is good, unfortunately as I lay my screwdriver back on the bench I will have to be happy with just spooning tonight

My wife organized a fundraising event for one of the horses at the riding school. The horse had to have an operation that cost the school R15K. So here I am this morning making horse related stuff: Horse shaped chalkboards on the one laser, engraved acrylic horse mirrors on the other laser, cutting lettering on the vinyl cutter for T-shirts and printing horse clip art for T-shirts on the sublimation printer....all at the same time...and then women say men can't multi-process....

          One lucky horse

Are you teaching your kids to work the machines? Perhaps to take over the business someday?

The wife knows how to operate the machines and the staff are also very good. The wife will be able to continue when I kick the bucket. The kids have no interest in it, they just want me to make stuff for them. I am sure though that they will take an interest some day. Our fundraising activities on Sunday brought in R3K towards the medical bills so it was worth it.

Working from home no doubt is an exciting idea, but also keep in mind its downsides.
