Yes you can, as long as the pressure valve matches the maximun cylinder pressure. You might notice a difference in shower pressure but I doubt it will be a problem.
according to what i know, if the pressure valve has a lower kpa rating than the geyser its still OK
but the reverse is not advisable
safest would be to have both pressure valve & geyser with same kpa rating.
