Speeding Fine !

The kids borrowed my Venter trailer during December holidays and I now get the following fine from Wolmaransstad and I quote:

"As the registered owner and/or driver, drove vehicle Venter Elite XXX123 NW at a speed in excess of the speed limit indicated in terms of section 59 (4) (b) etc etc."

Now my question is: How do you drive a Venter trailer ? and does this fine hold any water.

Although the numberplate of the tow vehicle is visible above the trailer, they did not fine the tow vehicle !

This would be interesting, this is like when i was arrested for failing to stop at a road block, i was being towed.

I don't know how they can fine the trailer owner for speeding, I'd wait for the court case a go defend it. It's as rediculous as a guy doing 150kph with a bicycle on a rack at the back of his car and they fine him for riding his blke at that speed.

I was thinking the same but the only problem is that next time I drive through Wolmaransstad, I get arrested in a roadblock for this !

Leave the trailer at home, or just use a different trailer.
