Gas Installer ??

Can anyone point me in the direction of a reliable installer on the East Rand - need to have my hob piped to a gas cylinder outside ..... can do it myself, but need the certificate for the insurance company.

This site might help identify your local installers.

If no-one here comes up with a recommendation, try talking to your local lp gas supplier. They'll probably have a fair idea of who the better operators are in your area.

Hi Kevin,

There is a reason for getting a qualified installer, not only for insurance purposes, but also for your own safety. Since LP is a chemical it does react with other materials such as oil or any organic materials. There are certain fundamental rules you have to apply to ensure that the copper pipes do not corrode and allow the gas to leak out when reacting with other materials.

I know for one that the copper pipe may not physically touch the wall or something like that as it corrodes the joints due to galvanic action.
