[Question] information on tax registration at sars.

i am registered for tax at sars. though i have not send in my tax returns in years.
i recently registered at efiling. although my info is already on there, it is abit out dated since i earn abit more . is there implications for not declaring your yearly income when your already registered for tax at sars ??
    thanks in advance.

    Depends.

Are you registered as a provisional tax payer?
Was your only source of income from regular employement?

If it was from regular employment, you didn't have to submit an annual income tax return if the income was below a certain threshold (R120k I think) - provided you're not registered as a provisional tax payer, of course.
    Participation is voluntary.

kahoel117 - if you receive an IRP5 the amounts on e-filing should correspond for each year.

Maybe try and click on Refresh IRP5 data if this does not help you can change the amounts to the amounts on the IRP5 for that year in your possession just know that the latter suggestion will cause you to submit supporting documents.

          thanks dave and gerald.
i see on my efiling account that all was already filled in by my employer. ( i registered for efiling a few days ago)
all i added was my med-aid tax certificate information.
i doubt that i will get anything out though.
