    ITR12 and donations

I am busy filling in my ITR12 personal tax return and can't find a space to make note of tax deductible donations that I have made. Anyone know how to get this to magically appear on your return?

    Presumably e-filing?

When you create your return, reply yes to last question "did you receive......and any other deductions not addressed above?" It will then open a whole new range of yes/no questions, answer "yes" to 2nd last question - "other deductions".
Your donation is then claimed under code 4016 and put your narration/description as donations.

I clearly had a brain fart when I went back to check those questions before posting here. I think my brain glossed over it because it start with "Did you receive any other income...."

Had to complete that section as I am a director. Thanks for the help Morticia!

On the point of directors and the asset form....

Our property is in both my wife's and my name, do you just declare half the asset value and half the current bond value?

If married in community of property, declare 100% - SARS will do split, if ANC show your share.

PS - not cast in stone, just practice, so other folks may disagree.
