[Question] EASYFILE EMP501 ONLINE VALIDATION REQUIRED ERROR

Hi there,

I have completed the EMP501 return using my own figures because I kept getting the message "ETI on EMP501 does not balance with IRP5/IT3a certificates" however to submit the return it indicates ONLINE VALIDATION REQUIRED ...how can I fix this?

Nothing appears on my EMP501 status Dashboard but under declaration TAB...ONLINE VALIDATION REQUIRED and on EMP501 submission report it indicates error " The RFC for this period cannot be processed"

Anyone who got ETI problem? Please assist.

I don't know if this might be the cause of your particular problem, but I have discovered that the ETI is reconciled to the last cent. I had an employee where the ETI for the year on the IT3a as generated by the payroll program included 46 cents.

And of course when working on the EMP501, you need to round to the Rand. The only solution that worked was changing the IT3a of the employee in Easyfile to remove the cents.
