How to register for income tax and VAT with SARS?

I've registered with CIPC a PTY LTD, however I cannot for the life of me work out how to register with the tax authorities. It's like they don't want the company to pay tax!

I have the slight disadvantage of living in the UK, however this should enable me to apply via fax according to SARS rules.
Anyhow, I don't even have a tax payer reference number, or at least the section was blank on the corporation docs CIPC sent.


On a side note; the idea of official company documents in ZA is essentially printing out and signing the PDFs CIPC sent, correct?

Use the tip to check you aren't already registered. Depending on the weather, you are sometimes registered automatically when your CIPC registration is done.

Hi,

When did you register the company? These days CIPC registers you with SARS automatically. The number will show up on your registration document. (COR14.3)
