    WCC website down

    Hello,
I've been trying since yesterday to open the DoL website... but cannot. I've tried on Internet Explorer, FireFox and Google Chrome, but no luck. Anyone else having the same issue? Any ideas? If you phone the call centre there is a message that says that they cannot take calls at the moment - how very convenient for them!

Labour.gov.za is down too. Looks like major server problems...

They're certainly in no rush to fix their problem. The entire labour.gov.za domain is still down.

I tested uFiling and at least that's working. It's on its own domain, though - probably a different server.

Interesting problems on the DOL website. There have been some changes to the URL structure and what one would expect to be pretty standard redirects don't seem to be working.

The landing page for the DOL home page is now http://www.labour.gov.za/DOL/

The log-in page for the annual returns is https://roe.labour.gov.za/DolRegistr...b/landing.html

          Hi Dave
Are you actually able to log-in?
I can get to the log-in page but I am greeted with a message that my username and password combination is incorrect, which of course it isn't

Hi Clive - that happened to me as well a few weeks back. You ask them for a "reminder" and they give you a new password. You can log in with the new password and then "change" it back to the one you had originally.

Talking of bad programming, once I've submitted the return(s), I get a page with how much the assessment is, payment reference number to use etc. but no details of the assessment itself and how that number is arrived at. And no notification via email as yet either.

Of course calling the phone number given for enquiries is a waste of time - at least as of today. Keeps diverting to a number that does not exist.
