E@syfile - failed to connect to update service

    [Question] E@syfile - failed to connect to update service

    I am on version 6.4.0 of E@syfile, when I log in I am prompted to update to the latest version.
    When I click on update I get the following error message:

    "Failed to connect to update service"
    Please note:
    You WILL be able to continue to work with e@syfile in an online or offline state.


    Yeah right!
    Try and sync and the system blocks you because the version you are working on is unsupported.

    Anyone else experienced this?

    I am honestly considering using the Emp 501 function on e-filing - it will be extra work loading all the employees, but presumably it works more efficiently than e@syfile...

      Hi KimH - yup there seemed to be a problem with 6.4.0 being able to update automatically. You will have to download version 6.5.0 from the SARS website and install. After that the update function seems to be working again.
