    Tax threshold for earnings

A person is currently registered as a provisional tax payer. Circumstances have changed and that person no longer satisfies the criteria for provisional tax. He has now got two jobs, but the total earnings is less than R67000. Does he need to fill in a tax return, which will result in no tax being payable, or can he just stop filing these because he is below the threshold. He does get IT3(1) from the respective employers.

    Thanks

You do not have to submit an Income Tax Return (ITR12), however, if you received income from more than one source, you will have to submit a return, even if your combined income is below R250 000. The overall problem is he has two jobs if he had only one then he wouldn't need to fill in an ITR12. Here is an interesting questionnaire.
