    [Question] I need some advice.

I helped registered a friend on efiling. He was a labour broker at a company but was made permanent for about a year now. His irp5 was already on the sars system and i just updated whatever changed in that time.
Problem is i got the assesment (it34) where it said he would get some money back. (he paid PAYE) . his yearly income is less than R45k (3601).
now he got a new assesment a week later (it34) stating that he needs to pay in an amount.

Why the second assesment? on the 2nd it34 it also shows two 3601 as an income of the same amount, so it seems they think he earns R90K
i uploaded his irp5 to sars for them to review.

Check with SARS if it isn't essentially the same IRP5 that has been captured twice.

Could you post back on the result of that - I've noticed a bug in E@syfile that could be the cause.

hi dave. i've found that the problem is another irp5.
when he was a lobour broker, they did'nt supply him with an irp5. so when i logged in at sars , i changed the amount of irp5s from 2 to one.
cause he said he only got one irp5 for the current year and nothing of the previous year.
so seems that he needs to ask for last years irp5 and go to sars to sort it out.
