[Question] easyfile-cant submit declaration online?

hi folks ,

would anybody have a solution to this problem : " reference number does not exist or user does not have rights to taxpayer " ? i do all my payments via e-filing but when it comes down to submitting my final recon to sars via easy filing i get this message ? now i took the precaution of whacking everything onto a disc ( second option when submitting ) when i saw this problem and handing it in before cut off date . before going down the help desk rout is there anybody who might have a intelligent solution to this problem ? as things stand my recon is still pending although i submitted via disc and will i be in trouble for submitting twice if i can fix this problem and get it through easy filing as well ?

Some ideas:

Double-check that you've got the right PAYE etc. reference numbers set up in E@syfiling.
Check the permission levels of the user profile in eFiling for that particular PAYE registration.

I'd phone the help desk and check on your current submission status before resubmitting. They're actually pretty helpful with that sort of thing.

when you log into e-filing, under organisation, tax types, make sure the EMP501-Offline submission is also ticked with your PAYE number. If not, you need to tick this, wait about 2 days and try submitting the recon again. As the recon will only be able to be submitted online if this box is ticked.

thanks for the further advice folks i did phone help desk yesterday and they took me through a further process to rectify the problem although i was told to wait a week after having to ask for my company tax number to be released , must say it was painless and professional and the lady was very helpful also . it looks as if i skipped a part in the initial setup of easy filing so this is not sars fault - score one for sars in this case !!!
