    [Question] No employment Contract PLZ HELP

    Hi

    I just joined the forum

    My situation is I have been working for a company for 1 half years now
    And I do not have a writin contract with them...
    We have had a verbal agreement which I know by Law is Null and Void

    I am about to resign , I would Like to know if I need to give notice and for how long?
    And will I still get my Leav payed out and so forth?

    Please assist it will be appreciated

    In the absence of the contract the Basic Conditions of employment are relevant, hence your leave pay is 21 consecutive dyas (15 working or 18 working depending on how many days of the week you work)
    you are required to give 1 months notice.

        you have to give 30 days notice, that will be the right thing to do, just remember with your next job please ask the employer to give you a contract of employment, it is not a nice to have it is a legal requirement
