The act is pretty clear that you can claim Family Responsibility Leave if you child is sick. Where do we draw the line. What if your Adult (Working) child is still living at home. This Adult child is sick and stays off work and the mom stays at home to look after the Adult child. Can the mom claim Family Responsibility leave from her employer.

Scratching around, it seems the BCEA requirement applies to a child under the age of 18.
So in the case of a minor, it's clear cut.
Obviously some employers may voluntarily take a more sympathetic approach, but I suggest it's hard to claim "responsibility" without there being clear "dependency".
