[Question] One Calendar Month Notice Period

    Hi,

Please could an expert help me to understand the definition of a "calendar month".
The office where I work closes on 15 December 2016 and reopens on 5 January 2017 (ie. employees are required to take 10 days of their annual leave during this period).
My contract states that my notice period is "one calendar month". If I resign on 15 December 2016, would this be effective 1 February 2017? Would January be seen as one calendar month, even though the office is not open for the 2nd,3rd and 4th of January? Otherwise do I need to wait until February to resign?

    Thanks

If by that you mean your last working day would be 31st January, then Yes.
