    [Question] Leave pay

    Hi

I have a client who has an employee since 1 Jan 2016. If the employee resigned on 30 April 2016, and has taken no leave, is there leave pay due to them for the four months they were there ? I remember reading somewhere, that the employer is not (or perhaps that was the pro rata bonus).

Can someone please clarify for me.

1.25 they work a 5 day week, a sper HR above.
If they work 6 day week, then 1.5 days per month.

        To calculate daily rate.
Take salary X 12 (to get year income)
Divide that answer by 52 (to get weekly income)
Then take the new answer and divide by 5 or 6, depending on how many days they work a week

          A couple of things:

An alternative method where employment has been for less than 6 months is to credit 1 day's leave for every 17 days worked.
All of the above advice assumes the Basic Conditions of Employment Act applies.
