    [Question] Pay raise

    Hi there

I would like to know, when you receive a pay raise, does your existing contract expire and you need a new one, or can it just carry on as normal?
Also, if a mistake was made on number of days leave due per year, and it is corrected, does that expire the contract as well?

    Thanks for the help!!!

Probably the best way to think of a pay increase is as an alteration to just that portion of the employment contract that it affects, and ordinarily an alteration to a contract does not mean the contract automatically expires as a result.

When it comes to employment contracts, the situations under which the contract terminates are normally pretty clearly set out and specific.
      Participation is voluntary.
