We have an employee who sustained a work injury approximately 2 months ago. She is now "fit to return to work" according to the doctors, but she is thinking of resigning on her own accord (not because she is unable to perform the job). Will claims already submitted to the compensation fund be paid out for medical expenses if she resigns? And if she goes for further treatment, will medical bills still be covered if she is not our employee anymore?

The fact that the employee no longer works for the "employer-at-the-time-of-the-IOD-incident" should not affect the validity of any claim.Participation is voluntary.
