Can you please help me? One of our employees lost a tooth with an injury on duty. We cannot find a dentist to assist with the IOD. All dentists needs payment up front. My question is: Can the employer (Outdoor Adventures) pay the dentist costs and claim the costs back from the commissioner?

Yes, as far as I know you can.... I know there is an online process for registering a claim/incident, maybe you should check that out too.

Late reply : remember to keep all invoices and proof of payments, you would have to probably wait for a few years before you are refunded from the Commissioner.
Employee should also be aware that he should be awarded for the loss of tooth that is considered a permanent disability, once again will probably take up to 3 years before he receives it.Comment

If an employee is booked off due to an injury on duty (IOD) for 3 days or less, the Compensation Fund does not pay compensation.Comment
