After having received a certificate of name change from CIPC, is there a prescribed time allowed to change all company documentation with the change? Letterheads, invoices, website etc.
Also, CIPC electronically advises SARS, who else needs to be advised: Bank, UIF?, staff, contractual partners? etc and by when?
From experience, the bank no one had any specified time as to when the new name had to be used, but we prefered to use the new name (a Pty LTD) right away purely cause it was an easier to pronounce name and the website / email URL was easier to remember as well. In fact, the only company, I think, wanted to update their system was NetCash - now SagePay. The bank wasn't too concerned since the company registration number and account stayd the same. Clients were notified of the change beforehand, and again once everything was in place.
