    Emolument on Retrenchment

Can someone please assist with the following question

I have been paying a Emolument which is being deducted from my employer for the past 16 months.

I have been working for the current company for the past 30 months. I have now been retrenched and will be unemployed as from 2nd April and the retrenchment package I am getting is not that much.

I would like to find out, How much can the Lawyers deduct or claim from this retrenchment package, maximum is about R 16 000.00.

The employers tried contacting the lawyers 2 months ago and to date have not received any feedback from them and have now asked me to contact them so the employers know what to do.

your response would be highly appreciated.

They can only deduct the monthly amount.
The employer is obliged to inform a creditor when the employee leaves their employ.
The creditor could approach the court for an attachment order' (Unlikely though)
