Good morning All. Just a quick question and hopefully someone can assist. I have recently accepted a quote for a personalised number plate from a company in Gauteng - stating clearly that they would beat any written quote so I didn't bother to shop around. I was charged R7391 for them to obtain and secure the number, pay the license fees for a year and supply a set of numberplates. I paid the invoice yesterday. Later in the afternoon someone told me that I have been ripped off badly and gave me the name of another company that offers the same services. I contacted them and they promptly sent me a quote for exactly the same work for R5610. This may not seem like a big deal, but it is 24% of what I have paid. My question is that if company A advertises that they will beat any written quote, do I have a leg to stand on?
