BEE Level- EME

Hi all, Hoping to get some advice.

Details: New company (a (Pty) ltd) with turnover of less than 10 million per annum (EME) is 51 % Black female owned:

Does this automatically give the company a BEE Level 2 Status?

What would we need to do to get the company to Level 1 from a Level 2? It is a small business with one staff member at present (The black female owner).

I understand that:

• Ownership
• Management Control
• Skills development
• Enterprise and Supplier development

All assist in increasing the levels but other than ownership is this applicable to EME's as well?

Do we need to hire a professional to create a BEE scorecard in order to claim Level 2 Status or would it also be an affidavit as it is an EME?

If using the affidavit then you have to apply the grid.

If the remaining 49% is not black owned, no.

Level 1 requires that it be a 100% black owned enterprise. That is not only an EME; any enterprise.

I thought we appartehid was a thing of the past ... just a name change.

The part which makes me laugh ... white fools are stupid enough to think a call from a company which has been awarded a contract due to their scroecard can work on site ... you will be chased off site ... whites are not welcome.
