I havent even considered using Shelly products in the past, because I thought it was a DIY product with no certificates (not that it matter here anymore). Been doing some research into the product and because I have a test system, this could be the next upgrade. You can even using it for solar, to monitor the flow in and out of the property.
I have been looking for a smart/intelligent meter that doesn't have a subscription and works in home assistant, it seems I might have found the ideal product.
Compact and clips into a din rail.
Just what I am looking for, I can spread these out around the factory, in sub DB's, all the production machines, and link them all together with the ASC's. We can now even install water sensors to shut down the cooling towers.
I might even replace the hager motion sensors around the factory with wireless presence sensors.
When you are not at scada budget level, these products are proving to be pretty handy.
The introduction of CBI ASC's compared to the old timers in the factory has already been a huge improvement, because now we can monitor the driers and make sure they are switching on at 2 am, and drawing power, if there is a problem, a notification is sent, not forgetting the ASC has energy monitoring built in(how accurate, I haven't compared it it yet).
Before you know it, we going to end up with a tablet or big screen monitor on the wall with an HA dashboard.
At the rate things are going, we will be installing cat 6 cables with every power cable, or the smart cable manufacturers like Doncaster cables will be introducing network cables combined.
