    [Question] Web Hosting Providers

We are looking for a Web Hosting company to work with us from next year (2011).

We offer Joomla Training and Support, the training is aimed at anyone interested in designing their own website (no experience is required), at the end of the course you will have a completed website. In the course you will be taught local hosting design and once complete, live hosting and for this we would require the support of a trusted Web Hosting provider, we would like to refer all new business to them.

Unfortunately our current host has replaced all telephonic support with only email support, making their email/online support useless and any changes that are done from their side aren't communicated through to us causing havoc on existing websites.

If anyone knows of a really good Web Hosting provider, please let me know.

www.Afihost.com does this at a very reasonable price.

        Can also try www.lantic.net

            Cream,
I use Softdux for paperkutz.co.za. The nice thing Rudi who runs it is also on the forum. So he looks after you, there is local and international hosting. Just so you know that is an affiliate link so maybe I get a beer or two out of it.
Only stress when you can change the outcome!

I've fixed that for you, Martin.

I really need to find a way to give regular members better editing permisions than the newbs.

There is quite a few large hosting companies in South Africa

Its important to look at the fine print always

                        - How much Bandwidth do you require ?
                        - How Disk Space ?
                        - EMail Accounts
                        - Linux or Hosting ?

I would recommend www.websitehosting-sa.co.za there is hosting is fast, reliable and cheap

Cream, I only see this post now. Not sure why......

But, as I told you over the phone, we'll gladly host your Joomla websites, and any other type of websites you need hosted

P.S. www.websitehosting-sa.co.za seems rather expensive? Our R15/pm ZA based hosting includes 250MB storage & 250MB bandwidth.

Their entry level package is quite expensive but the other are really well priced

                            As their plus package includes
                            500 Mb Disk Space
                            5 Gig Bandwidth

                            For R60

Compared to softdux.com where you offer
                            2 Gig Disk Space
                            2 Gig Bandwidth

                            For R150

Or website hosting sa larger package offers the following
                            5 Gig Disk Space
                            50 GIg Bandwidth

                            For R95

Softdux on the other hand offers

                            5 Gig Disk Space
                            5 Gig Bandwidth

                            For R250

Definitely if you compare the 2 you can see the cheaper option

Looking closely at their offering it seems those prices are for hosting in the USA. Our USA hosting has unlimited bandwidth so it does compete quite a bit
