Google Street View coming to South Africa

Maybe the biggest question about Google Street View coming to South Africa is - Do we really want it?

I'd never given it a second thought until I read a story in the Sunday Tribune. Seems some citizens don't appreciate it.

So what do you think:
Useful tool, interesting diversion, invasion of privacy or reckless security risk?

I'd love to hear your views.

Real question is: Who does it benefit? A home owner would have very little use of it, a business might get a bit more use out of it since it's effectively free advertising. Now, Criminals? Considering the increasing organisation of robbery, this would be a useful tool to them. They can map out everything without having to even be around.
I think that's the scary thing. you won't know until you've been hit.
