    0878137592 - SPAM ROBOCALLS

This number calls me over and over with some or other loan rubbish ROBOCALL.

I blocked the number but the call blocking is done by the phone not the network so the phone rings and then dumps the call. There doesn't seem to be any way to report this ROBOCALL to the authorities.

    Damn annoying!

What I have found, is that I simply place my phone down on the desk, and let the call continue to the end.
2 things happen, they pay for the longer call time, and because there is no activity/interaction (I am assuming here), they flag the number as an M2M - machine to machine, and don't call again.

I will try that. I suppose the robot is set up to retry if the call is answered and then hung up.

I cancelled my landline two years ago over the same nonsense.

I have done that and it seems to be the best solution. Some of the very persistent numbers that I have blocked, seem to have a list of numbers that they can call from. The call identifier will show the number as local, but the caller actually sits in Hong Kong!. I've had some shouting matches and abuse from that crowd, but fortunately, no more spam.
