    Selling your car....Auto Trader

I have been trying to sell my C200 KOMPRESSOR.
I have had to call the last week and both where basically the same.
I will by your car cash, please meet me at some obscure town in the "platteland" I will pay you there. Don't bring the car as I cant take possession now I will make arrangements to collect in two weeks.
    Sounds very fishy right?

But out of interest I cant work out what the scam is, do the want to steal the car I arrive in or what, what if I go there in a beach buggy, why not ask to bring the car to view? In either of the calls the other party expressly asked not to view the car...where's he catch

Maybe they will eventually fish for your address, if they have not tracked it already, and while you travel to where ever they steal your car!. It a new one that I have not heard of before.

The best I can come up with is they know where the Merc is normally kept. You go off to said obscure venue whilst they happily collect the Merc in your absence.
      Participation is voluntary.

        Just an update.....
I had my attorney call them and offer to facilitate the sale.
They demanded to pay cash and they would only hand it to me personally
        Ye right....
Needless to say I wont bee meeting them anytime soon
        Just be careful out there

If you still want to sell your car I would try one of the following.

Or find a dealer that will take the car on consignment. ie. they pay you when they sell the car. Just agree on the price you want, which should be a bit higher than normal price they would offer on a trade-in.

PM me if you would like more info.
