Suggestions please

We need help in reaching African exporters. We developed *check link* with the sole aim of promoting exports from African countries. Initialy we limited participation to only businesses in African countries and there was not much activity on the website for over a year.

We then decided to re-do the look-and-feel and open the website up to all comers. The result now is that we are seeing exporters from all over the world but very few from African countries.

There got to be exporters in African countries, the question is how do we reach them?

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

I had a quick look and I ended up with a pile of questions.
The big one that will hurt you in the long run if you don't do something about it: Who programmed this? The functionality is pretty good but the onpage SEO sucks. There is a lot more to SEO than simply link building, which with a local Pagerank of 4 you've obviously been doing quite a lot of.

For example - I Googled premier safety footwear manufacturers. The company's website is the first result - good for them - and a number of their directory listings come up too. However, after page 3 I stopped looking for a result to their listing on signonafrica.

The programming was outsourced! After reading your post, we decided to review the code with a view to improving Onpage SEO and other issues.
