Promotion of access to information act no 2 of 2000

I remember when the Promotion of access to information act no 2 came into effect in 2000 they realized that it is not possible to get all companies to submit their information documents and at the time they said only larger companies have to submit the information.

Does anybody know if things have changed in the mean while because a friend of mine's accountant told him it should be done.

Who have to submit this information and who do not have to do it?

There's some current info on PAIA here, Piet. It's just that it's called a Proatia manual.

Long and short of it, it seems it needs to be done by the end of this year.
    Participation is voluntary.

Please use this I think you will figure it out

The Commission was inaugurated on 02 October 1995 under the Human Rights Commission Act 54 of 1994 and as provided for by the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa Act 200 of 1993. The Constitution is the highest law in the country and it was adopted to heal the divisions of the past and establish a society based on democratic values, social justice and fundamental human rights. These rights are listed in the Bill of Rights, in Chapter 2 of the Constitution.
