    Upswing in the automotive industry?

Sales of new light commercial vehicles, bakkies and minibuses last month rose by 28% year on year - the upswing we've been waiting for?

Do not know if we have reached the turning point but the motor industry seems to be picking up. BMW will now offer you prime less 5 on a new 3 series ! So I guess this also helps to create sales.

      stats

Well, according to the AGOA stats, South African vehicles accounted for 3.2% of total US imports in the automotive category in 2009, ahead of the UK, Italy, Sweden and France - despite the US recession! We must be doing something right...

I think there was a little splurge to beat the new carbon tax. Also, last year's figures were not exactly a high point.

I suggest let's get three months worth of data before we call this one an upswing.
