Clients and there opinions of how things work

Couldn't believe this mail when i read it and this client actually wants a tenant to do this regardless of consequences (admittedly probably none).

Extract from an email from a home owner to us regards the tenant moving in tommorrow:

If they are moving in over the weekend. They can connect the electriciy direct on the box for the weekend than disconnect on Monday before they go to work so that we do not get into trouble and than after that it will only be days before everything is sorted.
He really expects this poor PREGNANT tenant to do this. Oh and by the way, the tenant has to arrange for the meter to be installed as well! Wonder if he'll ever see this and threaten me with legal Tough

No - theres an outstanding bill of rates substantial amount, never been lived in! - wont mention amount. Getting that sorted is an issue as he is "to busy". Never paid his rates etc since day one, now the tenant pays the price. You hear all the stories of "bad" tenants, some of the stories of landlords/owners enough to make blood curdle

Sometimes the first excuse is not the real reason...

Agree with you 100% and the real skill is to fire the unreasonable client, you can still make money with a tough client but not with an unreasonable one.

So true hey. Whats becoming more apparent is the number of clients that get fired weekly! Reflection of the times and stress

There certainly seems to be plenty of business out there -

As long as you don't need to get paid

Our worst is on the electrical side. When the lights go out, people will do and say anything to get them back on. But once they're working again...

This is going to be my worst year ever for hand-overs and doubtful debts for what were supposed to be COD customers.
