[Question] Can Someone Please Help with an Outlook Express problem?

    Hi Guys

I need your help. Yesterday, all my emails in my Outlook Express inbox, from the 24th of May until yesterday, DISAPPEARED. Just gone!

Perhaps someone here can give me some advice on where I may look to get it back?

    Thanx

Great question same happened to me I restored from a backup about 1 month out of date. i think it has something to do with the folder size. Lets see what the answer is.

      Thanks Ian

If it's the folder size, wouldn't it delete some of the older mails, then? I have some mails in my inbox from January, and they're still there.

Microsoft programme have logic like that, mind you that applies to a lot of programmes
I would look at how you handle this as if you don't get the emails back and go from there.

Your solution might be available here on Martha's web, but here is the Microsoft knowledge base page on the subject - probably the first resource to try.

I also found links to little utility apps that claim to help, but so far I couldn't establish credentials for any of them that would make me comfortable recommending them.

            Hi Dave

Who needs a computer technician with you around? This should solve his problem otherwise one of the utilities may be able to extract his messages.

Permanent fix for your Outlook problem.

Install Thunderbird, copy all your mail and accounts across and delete outlook.

Simple solution which I tried many moons back and all the pain went away.
