    so everyone rushing to buy sharesi hear its for blacks only? i got an email this morning anyone know what this is all about.

    Vodacom's BBBEE initiative, Murdock.

    It is actually a pretty fine example of how a company can satisfy the ownership requirements of BEE legislation without giving too much away. And there are some pretty extensive strings attached to that share offering.

      what next what does BBBEE stand for now...like BMW black mans workmobeel...i noticed someone was running late for a meeting again on sunday...silly question but i know with the aircraft they are looking into the weight of people and costing...do they do the same thing with the X5one person per car because of the size of the fat cats or is it just a power thing?

        I watched an interesting program on the popularity of the SUV the other day. They were trying to identify exactly why these vehicles are so popular. And the answer: The height of the seated position and bulk of the vehicle gives the driver a sense of superiority and invulnerability!

        Pretty good therapy for a fragile ego, huh?

              I am for these kind of BEE deals, at least joe soap in the street has a chance of making a couple of bucks as opposed to just a few.

                If I remember correctly, it's a minimum of 5 years to pay day, though.

                But I've got to agree with you - Cyril Ramaphosa & co don't need any more help riding the BEE train.
