    CC and VAT registration

Hi all, I am new here and new to the world of small business. I would like to request some advice regarding CC and VAT registration.

Where can I go to register?
On average how much will it cost?
    How long dose it take?
Any suggestions on who to get to do my CC and VAT registration.

Any/All comments will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you

Swiftreg is a good online solution to handle the registration of the cc with CIPRO.

When it comes to VAT, you need to deal with SARS. You can get your accountant to deal with it for you, but expect a fair fee. It is quite a pile of supporting documentation that goes with the application.
    Participation is voluntary.

You can register your CC self for a fee of R150.00 in total. Expect to wait up to 4 months for all to be finalised. You can also buy a shelf CC from places like shelfcompanywarehouse.co.za for R250.00 nad then further fees for name reservations and name changes. Your accountant can assist you with your VAT registration. If you're in Gauteng feel free to contact me directly for assistance in this regard.
